Being Mindful...What does this mean???

Being mindful refers to the practice of paying attention to the present moment, intentionally and without judgement. It involves bringing awareness to our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and the environment around us - mindfulness is often associated with meditation, where individuals focus their attention on their breath or bodily sensations to cultivate a present-moment awareness.





The benefits of mindfulness practice are wide-ranging...they include stress reduction, improving focus and attention, enhance emotional regulation, and promote overall well-being! By practicing mindfulness, an individual can develop a greater sense of self-awareness, learn to respond - rather than react to challenging situations, and cultivate a more compassionate and accepting attitude towards themselves and others!
